Where this is stored
- In this browser only. There is no Queensferry account behind it.
- Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is analysed or used to train anything.
- It does not sync between devices, and it is not a backup.
- Clearing your browser data deletes it — which is why export exists.
- Deleting here removes it immediately, and there is no copy elsewhere.
Where your work is kept
In this browser, and nowhere else. The workspace holds employment history, project detail, named sponsors and draft report material. That is sensitive, and there is no Queensferry server behind it yet — so rather than pretending otherwise, everything is stored locally in the browser you are using.
What that means in practice:
- Nothing is uploaded. No request carries your workspace content anywhere.
- Nothing is analysed. Your content is not used to train anything, and no analytics are collected on what you write.
- It is not synchronised. Open Queensferry on your phone and your workspace will not be there.
- It is not a backup. Clearing your browser data deletes it. So does using private browsing.
- Export regularly. That is the only copy that survives a browser reset.
Deleting it
The delete control removes everything this domain has stored in this browser, immediately. There is no copy elsewhere for us to keep, which is the one genuine advantage of this arrangement.
When there is a server
If authenticated storage is added, it will be opt-in, it will say what is stored and where, and it will not change the behaviour of anything you have already saved locally without asking. The honest local-only position stays until there is something real to replace it with.
