Terms
The basis on which Queensferry is offered.
These terms describe how Queensferry is offered at its current stage. They will be firmed up before accounts, discussions and tool testing go live.
What Queensferry is
Queensferry is an independent initiative for civil and structural engineers. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Institution of Civil Engineers or the Institution of Structural Engineers, and it does not award professional qualifications.
Guidance is not professional advice
Learning material, discussion and chartership guidance are peer support and general information. They are not professional or engineering advice for a specific project, and they do not replace your own judgement, your employer’s procedures, or your institution’s requirements. Always work to the codes and standards that apply to your work.
Lab tools
Tools in the Lab are provided for learning and testing. They may be incomplete, experimental or not independently verified, as each tool’s status makes clear. They must not be relied on for safety-critical decisions, and any output must be checked by a competent engineer.
Conduct
When discussions open, taking part will mean contributing constructively and professionally. Content that is abusive, misleading or unlawful is not welcome, and may be removed.
Changes
These terms will be updated as the project develops. A last-updated date will appear here once accounts and discussions are live.
