Reinforcement detailing and buildability
Everything the strength calculation never asks: whether the bars fit, whether the concrete can get round them, and whether the effective depth is what you assumed.
What this module covers
- Explain why detailing decides whether a correct calculation produces a sound structure
- Compute the effective depth to the centroid when bars go into more than one layer
